The State Fair of West Virginia is held each year during mid-August in the town of Lewisburg. Here visitors can enjoy fun in its many varied forms, music from all around the local area and of course midway food. Harness Racing is one of the fairs oldest traditions. You can come to the fair and enjoy real live horse races while the rest of the family is off enjoying the midway rides. Farmer’s and other domesticated animal owners can bring in their horses, ponies, mules, just about anything with four legs that you can ride to join the races.
